Lumigo integrates with your PagerDuty instance, allowing you to receive live alerts. To integrate with PagerDuty, open your PagerDuty console and follow the steps below.

Integrating With Global Event Routing

Global Event Routing enables you to route events received to specific services based on the payload of the event itself. Integrating via this path gives you a powerful tool for directing your alerts exactly where they need to go. To configure Global Event Routing:

  1. From the Configuration menu, select Event Rules.

  2. On the Event Rules screen, click on the arrow next to Incoming Event Source to display the Integration key information.

  3. Copy your Integration Key. This key will be used by any tool looking to leverage these event rules.

Note

When you have finished setting up the integration in Lumigo, you will return to this interface to specify how to route events from Lumigo to services in PagerDuty.

  1. In the Lumigo platform, navigate to Settings > Integrations

  1. Copy and paste your integration key and click on Test & Save.

Your PagerDuty integration is now ready to go! Just configure event rules and you are all set.

Test Alert

Upon completion of this step, a test alert will be sent to your PagerDuty account. If you haven't received the message after connecting to pagerduty, it is possible that the event has been suppressed. If so, check the Event Rule configuration below to enable the rule.

Event Rule Configuration

If you have no event rule configured, events sent from Lumigo will be automatically suppressed. To enable these messages, do the following:

  1. Log in to your PagerDuty account:

  2. From the Configuration menu, select Event Rules.

  3. Select the RULESET with which you have integrated Lumigo.

  4. Click on "Edit Rule".

  1. Choose "Create an incident on a service," and fill in the settings in the right side of the window.

Set up and Manage Alerts

Once you have connected Lumigo to PagerDuty, you can create and edit your Alerts. Click Alerts, and follow the following steps:

  • Select PagerDuty as a notifications service
  • Define the notifications preferences
  • Click "Save Alert"
